As described earlier, Senior Placement Services are businesses that work with families and their loved ones to provide assistance to help find the best place for seniors to live.  This can range from independent senior communities to smaller, residential care homes to memory care communities. Families are looking for guidance instead of going at it alone. The senior placement business is at its infancy stage considering the total number of facilities and investments being made in this segment of the industry.  The total number of assisted living facilities nationwide is 39,562 and the number of units (beds) is 1,072,536.  In addition, capital invested in this sector in 2030 will be around $490 billion, compared to a mere $86 billion that was invested in 1996.

 In-home care in the United States is a diverse and dynamic service industry.  Simply defined, home care is the type of care given to someone in their home, including activities of daily living (ADL): (bathing, dressing, transferring, using the toilet, eating, and walking). There are approximately 153,379 in-home care businesses in the United States listed by Manta, the world's largest online community for promoting and connecting small business. These businesses manage up to several hundred caregivers each.

Adult Day-Care Center

An adult day care is a non-residential facility that provides activities for elderly people. It is a community-based program that can provide a variety of health, social and support-related services. This care service is ideal for elderly people who would benefit from regular socialization. According to the National Adult Day Services Association (NADSA), there are currently more than 4,600 adult day care centers nationwide. Each state provides different regulations for the operation of adult day care centers.
